ECG Alert

Heart Monitoring Device

Online Heart Healthcare

Can this device replace a Holter monitor?

This device can replace a Holter monitor or similar devices for rhythm disturbance detection. It can also replace implantable cardiac monitors (loop recorders) and event recorders. However, since this a single-lead device, it cannot be used to thoroughly analyze which part of the heart is causing a problem. For this purpose your cardiologist will probably still resort to conventional methods, such as a Holter monitor, 12-channel lab ECG etc.

Is my insurance going to cover any or all of this?

Unfortunately not at the moment. We hope to start collaborating with national insurance consortiums and get the Savvy heart monitor covered for patients who require long-term monitoring.
